Knights end Wolves’ season win convincing 69-7 win

DEFENSIVE STANDOUT: Isaac Messenger buries Royal quarterback, Alex Myrick for an 8-yard loss. Messenger came to play and stood out with his effort and big hits during the game.

It was a busy first quarter of play at Royal City where Goldendale hoped to break a string of playoff losses to the Knights in the first round of the District 5 crossover games. Each team had five possessions and Goldendale was working on its sixth when the quarter came to an end. And although there were a lot of plays during the quarter, the first series for each team was a good representation of the whole game, and it wasn’t pretty for Goldendale.

The Knights scored on each possession of the first half, rolling up a 55-0 half time lead before ending an accelerated second half with a 69-7 win.
