Bishop Services helping in New York

Richard Lefever of Bishop Services, Inc, based here in Goldendale, wrote this account of his company’s service work in New York in the wake of Hurricane Sandy.

Bishop Services (BSI), a Goldendale-based National Emergency Resource provider, received mobilization orders to provide a Mobile Feeding Unit (MFU) and a Mobile Shower facility to assist in the Hurricane Sandy recovery effort. The company responded with both facilities in areas hit by the hurricane.

Bishop Services’ responsibility is to provide meals and showers to the National Park Service at their Incident Command Post/Staging area at Fort Wadsworth, Staten Island, N.Y. The National Park Service currently has 320 employees fr...
