Valdez grandchildren perform well at National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas

Well, how about those Valdez grandchildren? They did their families proud at the Indian National Finals Rodeo held in Las Vegas two weeks ago. Courtney Frazier, of Touchet, competed in ladies barrel racing and breakaway roping. The talented young woman competed tough enough for a second place average in barrel racing; 16th in the ladies breakaway average; and was named the Ladies All-Around Champion when the dust settled! Jordan Dove, of Centerville, roped his way to a seventh place average finish in tie-down calf roping. His little sister, Cheyanne, roped a breakaway calf in 4.43 for a respectable placing in the first go round of the Jr Finals as well. These results were reported on th...
