A sweet Thanksgiving dinner in New York City, from Goldendale company there to help

Richard Lefever of Bishop Services, Inc, based in Goldendale, continues his account of his company’s service work in New York in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Bishop Services received mobilization orders to provide a Mobile Feeding Unit (MFU) and a Mobile Shower facility to assist in the Hurricane Sandy Recovery Effort. The company responded with both facilities in areas hit by the hurricane.

It’s never quiet in the city that doesn’t sleep. Camp Sandy is located directly next to and below the Verrazano Bridge. The rumble of car and truck traffic coming off the 12-lane multilevel bridge is constant. A quarter mile away is a 12-lane toll plaza that’s never idle. A helicopter pad oper...
