A clear explanation for all the confusion going on lately



It’s a very busy time of year. On the horizon, there’s Christmas, known in government and some school circles as “the holidays.” That’s presuming we make it past the end of the Mayan calendar (Dec. 21, 2012), which some in the know say marks the end of the world. (There’s even a concert coming up in town that satirizes that idea by calling itself “Mayanara—Sayanara to the Mayan calendar, Christmas 2012.”) There are all the seasonal activities and celebrations, such as the Candy Cane Lane Parade this Saturday, the crèche displays and music at the Latter Day Saints Church, the Community Christmas Concert at the high school on Tuesday (yes, they’re still calling it a “...
