McConville leads comeback in Cougar win over Pirates

There was no real secret about the Lyle-Wishram game plan in the league opener at Bickleton, Saturday. The Lady Cougars went into the road game knowing they would have to slow down Bickleton’s big girls, Jamie Venema and Lindsay Brown if they were to have a shot at winning. Bickleton needed to handle the pressure defense and get some points from the perimeter to supplement Venema and Brown inside. At the final click of the game clock, either both teams got what they wanted or neither one did. The final score was a 37-36 win for Lyle-Wishram.
