City gets donated building


Goldendale now has a new multipurpose building.

Monday night at the Goldendale City Council meeting, council members passed a motion to execute a donation agreement with Laurel Hill Enterprises for the property located at 216 E. Simcoe Drive. The building, owned by Laurel Hill Enterprises, was formerly the Mount Adams Care Center and is approximately 17,000 square feet on 4.75 acres.

This donation is at no cost to the City of Goldendale. The city would have to take over the maintenance, water. and PUD bill. The Mount Adams Care Center could not be sold, so Laurel Hill Enterprises negotiated to donate the building to Goldendale.
