Reference ‘database’ is wrong


I don’t want to relive the horrific happenings at that kindergarden in Connecticut. I’d like to shut it out of our minds as incomprehensible.

But I must share my view on the root cause. Not as an explanation of this shooter’s mindset—that’s an impossible psychiatric task—but as a generalized viewpoint.

I was young once, as we all were. What makes us different from many of the young aged people today? It’s their database formation. For the moment, let’s agree that most human cognitive behavior, aside from innate DNA characteristics, is based on our reference database absorbed, learned, and stored as we develop in early years. Our reference point, as it would be.
