T-Wolves knock off Toppenish, lose league openers

The home crowd was treated to a thrilling 49-47 win by the Goldendale Timberwolves over the Toppenish Wildcats, last week, but there wasn’t any momentum to be gained as the Wolves stumbled in a pair of important league games at the end of the week.

Goldendale made the most of a power advantage inside against Toppenish, holding an 18-7 edge in rebounding through the first half. Issac Messenger had eight first half points and Ben Cochran had eight rebounds to gain a 30-23 half time lead over the Wildcats.
