Cougars 2-0 with important wins over TLG

SNEAKING BY: Dakota Jones finds a way under and around Jacqueline Diendorfer, taking the ball to the hoop for TLG.

An important league show- down between Lyle-Wishram and TLG gave the Cougars a share of the league lead for boys and girls in early season action. The boys beat TLG 77-46 and the girls separated themselves from the Mustang-Eagles in the second half to win 51-41. Both teams are 2-0 in league play, tied with Sunnyside Christian boys’ and girls’ teams.

GirlsThe girls game between Lyle-Wishram and TLG had a ragged start with each team shooting 4-14 in the first quarter. It only got worse in the second quarter which finished with Lyle-Wishram on top 17-16. TLG had the lead as the clock wound down, but Maelynn Luke was fouled on a three-point shot with one-second on the clock....
