Klickitat rallies together for community center

Renovation: The former J. Neils office (pictured at right) is currently undergoing renovation to be converted to a community center in Klickitat. According to Jerry Lynch, Klickitat School superintendent, the community should have a turn key community and youth center by the summer of 2013.

The planning and renovation of the Klickitat Community Center, a project seven years in the making, is now moving forward and is estimated by project leaders to be completed as early as this summer. “If all the timelines work in our favor, we hope to have a turn key community and youth center by the summer of 2013. This will be a place for not just the families of Klickitat, but for the whole county,” says Jerry Lynch, Superintendant of the Klickitat School District who has been spearheading the community’s push for the center since he came on board in 2005.
