Lady Wolves look to Friday home game to stop four game skid


Goldendale’s Lady Timberwolves are locked in a pitched battle for a playoff spot in the SCAC west, but it isn’t entirely clear with whom they are battling. Goldendale went 0-3 last week with losses to Zillah 64-28, Naches Valley 47-42 and Mabton 57-44. With the conference schedule just hitting the half-way mark, Goldendale finds itself just outside the top four with a 2-5 conference record.

Prior to last week, it was conceded that Granger and La Salle were clear front-runners in the conference and Zillah looked like a likely third with Mabton, Naches Valley and Goldendale in a tussle for the coveted fourth spot. The close loss to the Rangers is cause for optimism, but losses to Zillah...
