KVH adopts new financial plan to cut deficit


In an effort to prevent another year of million-dollar losses, Klickitat Valley Health (KVH) has developed a financial sustainability plan that provides for dramatic reductions in key costs and a significant restructuring of some staffing. As part of the plan, the hospital is asking employees and their union to accept a year freeze in pay increases and 403(b) matching contributions.

The hospital sent a letter on Dec. 7 to the employee union requesting opening of negotiations related to the wage freezes and serving as 60-day notice for staff restructuring of the Acute Care and Emergency departments.
