Lady Wolves lose crucial home game, hold on to win at SunDome

The cavernous confines of the SunDome were very much to the liking of Crysta Counts, aiding in Goldendale’s 49-42 win over Highland on Saturday. Counts was dialed in at the start of the Rivals game, hitting her first four shots, including three three-pointers. Alexis Ladiges also hit one in the first and was good on her only other attempt in the third quarter as Goldendale hit 7-11 from beyond the arc. They would need every one of those buckets as a combination of events turned a blow-out game into a squeaker.

Goldendale led 25-8 at half-time as Highland was a miserable 2-18 from the field. It was 37-18 at the start of the fourth quarter, but trouble was brewing.
