Wolves finish 3-3 in league matches

Goldendale finished their league duals last week with a win over Cle Elum-Roslyn and losses to Granger and Zillah. The Wolves finished in the middle of the SCAC west with a 3-3 record, a decent outcome for the young team.

The Timberwolves hosted league-leading Granger on Jan. 15 and lost 66-12. Goldendale started with a 7-0 decision by Ben Wooden and a pin by Jesse Call in exhibition matches. The varsity matches also started well with Zach Cully pinning Adrian Chino at 3:31 for a 6-0 lead. It didn’t take long for the lead to vanish as Goldendale forfeited 106 and 113 pound matches to fall behind 12-6. Goldendale would also forfeit 126, 152 and 195 pound matches.
