Dedicated stitching

88-Year old Catherine Krause is making quilts to send to Romania and Ukraine in support of Dr. Jim Ogden’s annual optometric mission trip. The quilts will be distributed to children in orphanages and schools and perhaps given as lap blankets for elderly. Although Dr. Ogden and his team will be traveling to Cambodia instead of Romania and Ukraine, for his medical mission trip this year, the quilts will travel by way of “Faraway Land,” an organization operated by Romanians who have family there. A container is sent monthly, and items are delivered to the addressed recipients.
