Bartkowski tosses 1-hitter through eight in loss

It was a tale of two extremes when Goldendale took on Highland in Goldendale last Saturday, but it all goes into the book as a pair of losses for the Timberwolves. Actually, over 16 innings of play, the pitchers for both clubs dominated play with the exception of two half-innings for the Scotties who won the opener 14-1 in six innings and the nightcap 2-1 win in 10 innings.

Both teams started the day a bit shaky in the field with a combined nine errors. Lucas Denney started for Goldendale and left the game after four innings trailing 7-0 having given up just two earned runs. The...
