Eunice Trumbo



Eunice (Hayes) Trumbo, 90, passed away on April 4, 2013 at Klickitat Valley Hospital in Goldendale, Wash. She was born Sept. 20, 1922 in LaCrosse, Indiana to Philip and Lida (Benham) Hayes. She attended schools in the LaCrosse and Wilders area.

She married Orville Trumbo on June 18, 1946 in Yakima, Wash. He passed away Sept. 16, 1999. Preceding her in death are her parents; five brothers: Grant (Winona) Hayes of LaCrosse; Eugene (Joyce) Hayes of LaCross; Stanley (Betty) Hayes of English, Ind .; Earl (Dorothy) Hayes of Portland, Ore .; Herbert Hayes of LaCrosse; three sisters, LaVerne (Leslie) Martin of Peru, Ind .; Marie (Charles) Dewey of Michigan City, Ind .; and Marguerite (Robert) Bryarly of Valparaiso, Ind.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Winona Hayes and Joyce Hayes; two sisters, Inez (Clark) Jenks of Michigan City, Ind., and Edith (Tom) Pratt of East Wenatchee, Wash .; two brothers, Robert (Jessie) Hayes of LaCrosse and Dwight (Carol) Hayes of Columbus, Ind .; and special friend Ron.

Eunice and Orville farmed for years on their farm off Hoctor Road where they also enjoyed rock hounding. She liked ceramics, crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles and continued to be an avid rock hound.

A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 9 at Mt. View Cemetery. Columbia Hills Memorial Chapel handled cremation arrangements.
