Athletes wrap up spring break on blustery day in Condon

DOUBLE WINNERS: Alex King, Briley Cameron and Audrey Dressel each won a pair of running events at the track meet in Condon, Saturday. King, of TLG won in the 300 hurdles and 1500 meter races.

Amid the ever changing weather, typical of Condon at this time of year, a number of personal records were set by track and field competitors from Goldendale, Lyle-Wishram, Klickitat and Trout Lake-Glenwood, and three runners posted double wins.

Goldendale’s Briley Cameron ran his best times of the year to win the 100 and 200 meter sprints. His 100 meters time was a hand-held 11.29 and his winning 200 came in 23.97. Cameron’s teammate, Audrey Dressel had another good meet as she won the 400 meters in 1:05.77 and the 800 in 2:52.96. Dressel had a PR in the pole vault at 7-feet, for third place and a PR in the 200 meters in 29.37, good enough for fifth place.
