City meets in executive session, continues talk on tourism


The full Goldendale City Council opened the regular portion of its Monday, April 15, meeting at 7 p.m., following 90 minutes of closed executive session to consider topics which included potential litigation. No action was taken in regular session on the executive session discussion items. The lion’s share of the council’s regular meeting conversation was spent in review of tourism planning and expenditures.

During department reports, Goldendale Police Chief Rick Johnson said he was reviewing departmental trends and noted calls for service in 2013 were down about 100 year-to-date from 2012, but the 2012 year numbers were a record high, year-to-date, with more than 300. He planned to d...
