Drivers traveling over Satus Pass on State Route 97 during the early to mid-morning hours Monday had multiple vehicle collisions and a fast moving dump of heavy spring snow and ice to contend with near milepost 31. In the center of the tie-up was a semi-to-semi collision involving a double semi from Evans Fruit Company of Yakima and a service truck which fishtailed going northbound and ended up backwards, hanging off an embankment. There was a third collision involving a car-to-car rear-end incident. Traffic was locked up from just before 8 a.m., while rescue and tow vehicles and Washington Department of Transportation snowplows made their way to the multiple collision sites to assist and...
