Battle brewing in SCAC sprints, Cameron wins races against teammate Messenger and River View's Johnson

MARK TO BEAT: Brian Golding clears 9-feet in the pole vault at Goldendale. It is the third time this year Golding has cleared 9-feet, which is his PR.

A great battle is brewing in the 100 meters in the SCAC and two of the prime combatants are Timberwolves, Isaac Messenger and Briley Cameron. Both Goldendale sprinters have posted times of 11.5 seconds in the race this year and only Jared Johnson, of River View has been better with an 11.49.

The 100 meters is the glamour event of track in some quarters. When they talk about the fastest humans, they aren’t talking about milers or any distance other than the 100. The short distance makes for close races and the Goldendale pair have flashed a couple of photo finishes lately.
