GSD gets $1 million from state

School uniform decision pending; RIF notices sent to eight GHS teachers


If taxpayers and good news can be discussed in the same sentence, taxpayers of the Goldendale School District should be able to hold a very pleasing discussion with the news the local district received last week. The local school district, one of the smallest of the 28 statewide grant recipients, learned last Wednesday it would receive $1 million for energy efficiency improvements from the Washington State Office of Public Instruction (OSPI) to apply against its already planned $1.5 million phase one (of two phases) infrastructure improvement project. The small local district is just one of six to receive the maximum award—good news indeed.
