GHS grad part of award-winning news team

GHS GRAD ON THE AIR: 2004 Goldendale High School alum Jen York, left on air with her news colleagues, is part of the small but notable KREM 2 news team in Spokane that earned three prestigious 2013 Edward R. Murrow awards recently for digital broadcast excellence.

A popular Spokane television station recently garnered three prestigious 2013 Edward R. Murrow Awards for its work over the past year, and a good share of the credit belongs to 2004 Goldendale High School alum Jen York.

The awards, given out annually since 1971 by the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA), honors outstanding achievement in electronic journalism which embodies, according to the award website, “. . . the spirit of excellence which that Murrow set as a standard for the profession of electronic journalism.”
