Vandals sweep Cougars in first meeting of rivals


Klickitat won round one of the battle between the only teams in the Greater Columbia Gorge softball league, 6-0 and 15-5. Chelci Curtis held the Cougars to just seven hits over the two games while the Vandals collected 16 hits.

The Cougars looked to be in for a similar result, Friday against Liberty Christian in Dallesport. Liberty Christian used an 8-run fourth inning to beat the Cougars 13-2. Cougar bats were silent again as they managed just three hits.
