Tom Herrington

Obituary

Thomas William Herrington was born August 30, 1978 in The Dalles, Oregon. Tom lived in Wasco, Oregon until 1984 then he moved with his family to Goldendale and has resided there ever since. He graduated from Goldendale High School in 1997, where he participated in FFA.

Tom was always happy go lucky with the biggest heart. He was very well liked by everyone. He had a dedicated attitude toward employment from an early age, beginning with delivering papers for The Goldendale Sentinel. Tom loved John Deere and Tonka trucks as a child and moved on to become an excellent farm equipment and heavy equipment operator. He continued this love into his employment with WSDOT. He was also dedicated to the Goldendale Jaycees for many years and held the office of president for the past few years.

Tom enjoyed golfing, farming, playing with his daughters, trips to the beach with his family and spending time with his wife.

Tom is survived by his wife, Kadee (Amidon); daughters Dilynn Rose and Jordynn Marie; parents Ross and Jannette Herrington; and sister, Sharla Bennett, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tom is described best by his family and friends as being funny, genuine, loyal, and the best dad ever. He loved his wife and children with all of his heart and showed them each day how special they were to him. He looked forward to coming home to his girls and entertaining them each night. He was extremely prepared to raise a houseful of ladies. He was often considered the life of the party and constantly had a bright smile on his face. He will be missed by all, especially by his three ladies.

Tom passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013, as the result of a snowmobiling accident on Mt. Adams.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 4, at 11 a.m. at New Life Assembly of God Church, 1602 S. Columbus, Goldendale. In lieu of flowers, donations for Tom’s daughters may be made at Sterling Bank.
