Wolves let split with Warriors slip away

Baseball team to miss playoffs


Goldendale missed an opportunity to put distance between themselves and one of the teams fighting for a playoff berth when Cle Elum-Roslyn scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and went on to win 8-7 on Saturday. The Lady Timberwolves lost the opening game 8-4 and their league record dropped to 5-3 with games remaining against Granger and Zillah.

Goldendale scored all of its runs in the fourth inning of the opener, but five errors helped the Warriors run away with the game. Crysta Counts struck out 11 batters and had a double and an RBI for Goldendale.
