Goldendale golfers win three-way meet on home course

READY FOR DISTRICT: Goldendale’s golfers were in good form leading up to District with solid rounds from the gilrs and boys’ teams on Monday. Left, Bree Wanderscheid shot a 76 and Natalie Hurst, bottom, was in at 107.

Goldendale golfers made the most of a home course advantage with boys and girls teams posting wins over Naches Valley and La Salle. Bree Wanderscheid added another medal to her collection for top score among girls with a 76 and La Salle’s Beau Wangler’s 73 was top among the boys. The match was played under perfect conditions on Monday and all three teams had a full complement of players.

Joining Wanderscheid for the Goldendale team score were Sawyer Ross with a 97, Natalie Hurst with a 107 and Leah Lewis who shot a 127 for a team total of 407. La Salle’s girls were second with a 423 and the Rangers shot a 464.
