Records fall in Jeff Agar Memorial meet at Glenwood

DEAD HEAT: Billie Jo Risheim beat Lyle-Wishram’s Jacqueline Diendorfer by 0.01 seconds in the 100 meters at Glenwood. It was the third meeting of the two runners with Diendorfer beating Risheim by 0.05 and 0.2 seconds in the first two races.

Last Friday was as close as it gets to have a Klickitat County track and field championship with all county high schools participating in the Jeff Agar Memorial track meet in Glenwood. It was also a prelude to the league/district meet for the Greater Columbia Gorge league, which will be in Glenwood again this Friday.

Based strictly on first place finishes, Columbia-White Salmon was the clear winner with six out-right wins for both boys and girls teams plus first among county competitors in one more event for boys and girls. Bickleton and Goldendale each had four wins for both their boys and girls’ teams, TLG scored a combined five wins, Klickitat had two wins and Lyle-Wishram managed a...
