Randie Clary



Randall (Randie) Scott Clary, 50, died May 13, 2013, in Goldendale.

He was born February 7, 1963 in Oregon City, Ore., to Elvis “John” Clary and Dorothy (Rieckers) Clary.

Randie grew up in Goldendale and attended Goldendale public schools. After high school, he took a position as a fish processor in Alaska. Returning, he worked at several NAPA Auto Parts stores throughout the Northwest as a counterperson, Goldendale Aluminum Plant, and later, pursued a career as a truck driver, working for such companies as Walmart and Craig Shaw Trucking of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Randie had owned his own airplane and enjoyed flying. He held an appreciation for the outdoors, and was involved in snowmobiling, motorcycling, camping and fishing.

Several years ago, he acquired and raised his constant companion and friend, Tommy, a German Shepard-Sharpei dog. During his years in Las Vegas, they spent many lively hours together at the “dog park,” relaxing among other dogs and owners.

Randie had recently returned to Goldendale do to health issues.

He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Maw; brothers, Richard Clary and wife Nancy of Kent, Robert Clary and wife Peggy of White Salmon; aunt and uncle, Shirley and Wayne Claussen, step-brothers, step-sisters, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
