Water sports dominate Klickitat County scene

With summer upon us, all manners of water sports are getting into high gear. Klickitat County is renowned for its fishing, thanks mostly to the Columbia River, but it is also a destination of choice for white water sports and wind sports on the big river.


The spring run of Chinook salmon has pretty much run its course by now, but the summer run is just getting started. Last week on the Klickitat River there were few fishers out trying their luck, mostly for steelhead.

Great shots, Andrew! Must've been a real horrible grind of a day at work, taking those pictures. All that gallyvanting around the most beautiful parts of the county... Hope you had your sun-visor on hand to keep the river mist out of your eyes!
