Nickels-Krieg runs top Ag program

Mabton Jr/Sr High School Agriculture Program won Outstanding Program of the Year for the state of Washington on June 27, in Spokane.

Mabton was nominated Program of the Year out of 32 programs in the Yakima Valley and Tri-Cities area in February, and the application was moved onto the state level. Mabton was selected State Program of the Year out of more than 200 agriculture programs in the state of Washington.

Randi Nickels-Krieg, a 2004 Goldendale High School graduate has been the Agriculture instructor at Mabton High School for four years.

Krieg is the daughter of Terry and Nancy Nickels, of Goldendale.
