Events over past weeks show strong dollar impact

The Community Days parade was one of the biggest and most diverse in a long time, according to most reports.

Over the past few weeks, Goldendale has been host to a summer whirlwind of public events, beginning with the Bluegrass Festival at Ekone Park in mid-June, and wrapping up this Sunday, with the Fast ’n’ Furious Barrel Race at the Klickitat County Fairgrounds, and a whole bunch in between.

Though the city usually holds similar events throughout the summer months, the ones held this year have been deemed by many to be bigger and more successful than those of the recent past. Several local businesses have reported a financial boon, due to the influx of cash from various festival goers.
