Suspect in burglary has history of theft




Goldendale Police got the break they expected in their pursuit of the burglar who broke into the Market Place on July 6, when stolen lottery tickets were redeemed at local businesses. Police believe Jason Lee Kalchbrenner, 35, committed the burglary and gave tickets to several people who cashed in winning tickets shortly after the burglary. Once the numbers were determined for the missing tickets, it was a simple matter of identifying where and when those tickets were redeemed. Police viewed video at Goldendale businesses and were able to identify people who claimed the payouts. Kalchbrenner was identified as the person who distributed the tickets.
