Catherine Crapper



Catherine Cecelia Crapper was born in Walker, Minnesota on July 12, 1924 to Helen (Coleman) and Warren W. Phillips. A resident of Klickitat since 1965, Mrs. Crapper was well-loved in the community and active in Gleaners and the White Salmon Senior Center. She passed away in The Dalles, Oregon on July 11, 2013, just a day shy of her 89th birthday.

Catherine will be missed by her children Mike Kingsley of Klickitat, Pat Crapper of Carson, James Crapper of Walla Walla and Megan Crapper of Klickitat; sister Margaret Gehrig of Hood River; brothers Warren Phillips of Oak Ridge, Oregon and Ed Phillips of Albert Lee, Minnesota; grandchildren Timothy, Sandra, Jillian, Dusty, Jenna, Dwayne, Tyler, Brianna and Cecelia; and two great-grandchildren Kyle and Cody. She was preceded in death by husband Elmer Crapper, son Bill Crapper and grandson Alan Blake.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 18 at Gardner Funeral Home from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and a graveside service will held on Friday, July 19 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Appleton at 1 p.m. Memorial services are being planned for Friday, July 26. Call Gardner Funeral Home for times.
