Red Cross keeps busy during fire


The Red Cross set up their aid station and shelter this week for those in the path of the fire at the Fathers’ House Fellowship here in town and opened the doors to those in need Wednesday evening. It was a relatively quiet week for them; only 15 residents displaced by fire activity found themselves in need of a place to stay, but the volunteers were on hand and prepared for many more.

Personnel from the Cascades Region Division of the Red Cross were ready with food, comfort items, beds, and healthcare for any and all who were evacuated or affected by the fire.
