Coach Hill inducted into basketball Hall of Fame

RESPECT: Larry Hill, assistant basketball coach at Sequim, proudly displays his plaque signifying his induction into the WIBCA Hall of Fame. Hill hails from Goldendale where he once played the game he has been teaching for the past 36 years.

One of Goldendale’s own was inducted into the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association (WIBCA) Hall of Fame last week, no small honor for a man who has devoted a long career to teaching high school math and basketball. Larry Hill grew up in Goldendale and has been a teacher and coach at Sequim School District for the past 36 years, eight at the middle school and the rest at the high school. Hill was one of nine coaches inducted into the Hall of Fame during ceremonies at the Elks Club in Tacoma, on July 24.
