Grinders conclude short season with 4-7 record

The Goldendale Grinders went 2-2 in a Thursday through Saturday tournament in Portland, bringing their record to 4-7. It is also their final record as Wednesday’s scheduled home double-header against Condon was cancelled as the visitors were unable to field a team.

The bats were hot on Thursday against Gaston in a 16-6 win. Kevin Gilk had three doubles and drove in four runs as Aaron Cochran went the distance for the win. The bats were still hot on Friday as Gilk pitched a complete game and win over East Metro, 16-4. Tyrell Read was 3-3 with two RBI. Cochran, Chris Trunkey and Reiss Kauffman also drove in two runs each.
