Norman Dixon

Obituary

 

Norman Dixon was born July 23, 1925, to Robert and Hazel Dixon in Poplar Bluff Missouri, the second of four children. At an early age the family moved to the Yakima

Valley. He met and married Grace Reiter on April 9, 1948, they were blessed with three children, Dennis, Judy (Wells), and Mike.

He worked for many years at Toppenish School District as a custodian and bus driver. He and his wife were also custodians for Central Valley Bank in Toppenish for several years. After retiring they moved to Goldendale where

he worked at the aluminum plant (Commonwealth) where he got the nickname

Stormin’ Norman).He retired in 1984. Norman and Grace moved to Prosser in

November to live with their son Mike and family, due to illness.

Norman and Grace were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 13 great-

grandchildren.

Nine days before his death, he lost the love of his life after 65 years of marriage,

Now they are together forever in heaven.

He is preceded in death by his wife Grace, his parents, two siblings and a

granddaughter (Jennifer Wells).

He is survived by son Dennis (Sadie) Dixon of Goldendale, Judy (Bob) Wells of Goldendale, Mike (Mardi) Dixon of Prosser; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-

grandchildren.

He was a kind and generous father and grandpa. He would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it. He always took care of mom and she took care of him.

A deep hole is in our hearts now but will soon be filled up with all the memories that we will cherish.
