Bree runner-up at Post Falls


Bree Wanderscheid fought her way through a tough field at the Pacific Northwest Junior Girls’ Amateur golf championships at Post Falls, Idaho, last week, but ran out of steam with two holes to go and settled for second place.

Wanderscheid shot an even par 72, two strokes off the leader, Aleana Groenhout, to qualify for the final round of match play among the top 16 girls. Sitting in a five-way tie for eighth was Federal Way’s Kendall Gray.
