Soup kitchen loses a night, seeks to pick it back up


The United Methodist Church has hosted a Community Soup Kitchen three times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. But one of the churches involved in the endeavor recently has become unable to continue helping. Due to their withdrawal, the soup kitchen is no longer able to provide services on Wednesdays until they can raise sufficient funds and staff to run it.

For five years the community soup kitchen has been providing meals to anyone who wants a free meal, and usually between 30 and 40 people come per night.
