NAPA truck brings OC Chopper, video games to Goldendale

On the Street: NAPA owners Dave and Linsey Ward brought the NAPA truck to town last month. The truck brought video games, an OC Chopper, and a car from NASCAR.

On Monday, Aug. 19, the Goldendale NAPA store was visited by the NAPA Truck—a rare occurrence, since it stops at a small number of cities around the country. With the coming of the truck, there came sales on tools averaging around 70 percent off.

To get the truck to visit Goldendale, Linsey and Dave Ward, owners of the NAPA store, had to work hard. Having the NAPA truck visit Goldendale is quite the event because in order to get it, they had to book the visit a year in advance.

“Our goal was to bring something cool to Goldendale,” says Linsey. And, indeed it was—there were video games, an OC chopper, a car from NASCAR, and even a gigantic inflatable hat. People milled around chec...
