Warriors run away with 25-6 win over Goldendale in penalty filled game

NOT THIS TIME: Kyle Wilkins tackled Cle Elum-Roslyn’s Lars Parrish during league action in Goldendale last Friday. The Warriors’ ability to run the ball earned them a 25-6 win over Goldendale.

Almost everything there is to know about Cle Elum-Roslyn’s 25-6 win over Goldendale was encapsulated in the first drive of the game. One minute and six seconds held keys to the game, including what would be the winning points.

Goldendale received the kickoff and Devan McGraw had a nice return to the 40 yard line. The first play was wiped out by a holding penalty. The second play was a 1-yard run by Tyrell Read. On the third play of the game, quarterback B.J. Walter looked to throw to his left to Read who was out with blockers on a short pass play. But, Read injured his hand getting off a block and never saw the throw that was picked off by Brennan Burchak and returned for a 10-yard pick...
