Low power radio station in Goldendale to submit application


A move to establish a Low Power FM (LPFM) broadcast radio station in Goldendale is a step closer to reality.

Community Enrichment for Klickitat County (CEKC), an area non-profit, has agreed to sponsor the Goldendale LPFM Planning Group to complete an application to the Federal Communications Commission and to identify and acquire local equipment and resources that are essential for programming, broadcasting, and serving the community.

Nancy and John Kusky have agreed to provide room in the J & N Cable building for a radio broadcast studio, and KLCK’s AM antenna on the west end of Goldendale is a likely site for the new Low Power FM antenna.
