Coyotes bust big plays to defeat Goldendale 40-13


Goldendale’s football team has been working through growing pains with a young team and a new system on both sides of the ball. Last Friday was a 40-13 non-league loss to Columbia-Burbank, but Coach Chris Twohy sees signs that indicate they might be turning a corner. It couldn’t come at a better time with critical games on the horizon and the team needing a couple of wins to have a shot at post season play.

Burbank came at the Timberwolves with a spread offense looking to pick up big chunks of yardage with their throwing game. Pressure on the quarterback has been one of Goldendale’s strong suits this year, but the Coyotes countered with draw plays and the slowed down rush was enough...
