Wolves narrow the gap in losses to Highland and Wahluke

ATTACK: Cheyenne Smith was on the attack against Highland. The Lady Timberwolves are without a goal on the season, but have been putting pressure on the goalies the past two matches.

They may not be league rivals, but Goldendale and Wahluke proved again that they are as closely matched as any pair of teams in SCAC soccer these days. Last year Goldendale defeated the Warriors in a pair of one-goal games, including a 2-1 win in a shoot-out and last Saturday it nearly went to a shootout again as Wahluke managed to score the only goal in the game with three minutes left in regulation.

Goldendale abandoned the rotating goalie approach, which was necessitated due to low numbers and no one dedicated to being a goalie, and went with Britni Bischoff for the entire game. Both goalies had a number of saves in the match with Goldendale providing most of the offensive pressure. Go...
