50 Years Ago – November 14, 1963

• The Western Auto store reopened last Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Bob Shafer as proprietors, following sale to them by Gordan and Mary McNew. Another business was the sale of the Goldendale Signal station to Ben Owens by Ed Doubravsky and Earl Rhoads.

75 Years Ago – November 10, 1938

• Either a near sighted duck hunter or a man with a grudge against Texaco oil trucks, discharged a shot gun from a moving car in the direction of Hamilton Brothers service station.
