Field position wins the day for Wahluke over Wolves

PRESSURE: Goldendale quarterback, B.J. Walter gets a pass off under intense pressure from Wahluke's Jack Yorgesen during the final game of the season for both teams.

It might have been a meaningless game in that the winner was advancing nowhere, but it meant something to the players and they played it as if it were a title game. Goldendale entertained Wahulke in a cross-over game on Friday, bringing their season to an end with a 27-13 loss to the Warriors.

Goldendale started strong when Kyle Carper recovered a fumble on the opening kickoff at the Wahluke 27. A minute later, Briley Cameron went in motion, took a bobbled snap from B.J. Walter and turned up field, virtually untouched for a 20-yard touchdown. Jair Garcia's kick was good and Goldendale was looking good in the early going.
