Veterans honored at Goldendale Middle School annual Veterans Day assembly

Goldendale Middle School (GMS) hosted their annual Veterans Day luncheon and assembly on Thursday, Nov. 8 at GMS. Veterans and their wives were honored for their service to the United States over the past 72 years. One veteran present, Rochelle Gammon, entered the Royal Canadian Air Force before the U.S. even entered World War II, in 1941.

The purpose of this assembly is to highlight the generous service many men and women have given their country and to build connections between middle school students and members of a previous generation who have sacrificed so much.
