Goat Guild offers new monthly classes


For those interested in becoming self-sufficient with the use of livestock—goats in particular—the Columbia Basin Goat Guild will be hosting monthly classes until March of next year. These will be in preparation for the third annual Goat Academy.

Mary Wilson, president of the Goat Guild, explains, “Basically what we’re doing is we’ve set these up, we do fundraisers throughout the year, and they’re mostly designed to promote goat ownership in the area.”

The Goat Guild, which meets at Golden Coyote Coffee each month, will teach about what it means to own goats, how to care for them, what they produce, ways to market goat products, and more.
